The high pluviosity of the
State of Chocó (the
highest of the world), makes it hard for agriculture, and even after this
fact, it is done by harvesting plantain, corn, rice, cocoa
and coconut.

Cattle raising is also important, but the
mining of Gold, Platinum, Silver,
limestone, molybdenum and copper is the Nation's
principal source of income.
The State of
Chocó has a high potential for fluvial
and maritime fishing, but it hasn't been technically exploited. It is
also, a very adequate and perfect place for the practice of ecotourism. |
